Harrisburg Senators Baseball Club Senators Baseball
Playing their home games at Commerce Bank Park on Harrisburg’s City Island, the Senators are the AA
affiliate of MLB’s new Washington DC Nationals. Starting in 1987, the Senators have enjoyed success
not commonly found among minor-league teams. They have won 6 Eastern League Championships,
including four in a row from 1996-99, and have qualified for the playoffs in 14 of their 18 seasons. Annual attendance is strong as well, as the Senators routinely draw over 250,000 fans.

The Lancaster Barnstormers are a minor league baseball team which plays in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They are a member of the Atlantic League and are not affiliated with a Major League Baseball team.The team plays at Clipper Magazine Stadium on the northwest side of the city. The stadium is located on North Prince Street near the Lancaster General Hospital. Baseball fans in Lancaster waited for 41 years for another baseball team since the Lancaster Red Roses left. In 2003, Lancastrians chose the name Barnstormers over Red Roses in a name-the-team contest. Barnstormers refers to Lancaster County's farms, many of which are Amish. Lancaster County has been known as the 'breadbasket of Philadelphia.' Team colors are navy blue, red, and khaki.Lancaster native Tom Herr, who played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Phillies, San Francisco Giants, Minnesota Twins, and the New York Mets, is the team manager.

HERSHEY BEARS ® Hockey Club
The oldest continually-running franchise in the American Hockey League (AHL), the Bears are the farm
team of the NHL’s Washington Capitals.  Playing their home games in the Giant Center, the Bears have
won 9 Calder Cups over the years as AHL Champions, most recently in the 2005-2006 season.

City Islanders Pro Soccer
The newest addition to the Heart of PA’s sports landscape, the City Islanders play in the United Soccer League’s Second Division. Home games are played at SkyLine Sports Complex on Harrisburg’s City Island, which also serves as home to the Central Penn Piranha. The City Islanders qualified for the playoffs in their first season, but lost in the first round to Pittsburgh.

As a member of the North American Football League (NAFL), the Piranha have an unmatched record of success. They have won their league championship 4 times, and have an incredible 81-0 record on their home field. Home games are played at SkyLine Sports Complex on Harrisburg’s City Island, adjacent to RiverSide Stadium, home of the Senators. The Piranha are the winningest team in minor league football history.

Harrisburg Horizon Basketball Club 
A member of the Eastern Basketball Alliance, the Horizon play their home games at the Capitol Union Building on the campus of Penn State Harrisburg. The Horizon are the three-time defending EBA Champions, and have lost just two games in the last two seasons.

Penn National Race Course continues to build upon its foundation of history and tradition that has made it a major force in the sports and entertainment market in Central Pennsylvania. Penn National provides sports fans with the excitement and beauty of live thoroughbred racing Wednesdays through Saturdays year round. Turf racing is featured on their nationally-acclaimed seven-furlong course. For added excitement, they simulcast the nation’s best racing seven days each week. With the technological expansion of the industry through simulcasting, the track’s racing program is also viewed by patrons across the nation and in several foreign countries on a daily basis. Penn National is located just off I-81, approximately 15 minutes from Harrisburg. Coming in 2007-2008 is Hollywood Slots Casino gaming.
